Bulgaria is lauding the March 27 decision of NATO to take over the entire command of the military operation in Libya, aiming at protecting civilians from the forces of dictator Muamar Gaddafi.
The official statement was published Monday by the Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Vesela Cherneva.
The decision to act under the mandate of resolution 1973 of the UN Security Council is a demonstration of the decisiveness of all allies, including Bulgaria, to fulfill their commitment to the UN resolution and of NATO's ability to undertake firm actions in support of the effort of the international community, the spokesperson points out.
