Bulgarian Prime Minister Takes Action on 'Mama I Az' Hospital
Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev is poised to address critical issues plaguing children's healthcare in Bulgaria, particularly regarding the "Mama I Az" hospital.
Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has expressed his infuriation with the Bulgarian national football over the 0:1 home loss from Montenegro Tuesday night.
Borisov was mad not just because of the weak performance of the Bulgarians but also because he believes that the absence of Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov affected negatively the outcome of the match.
Berbatov, Bulgaria's top star at the moment, resigned from the national football team earlier this year.
"The difference between Bulgaria and Montenegro was in the "9s". The "9" that was missing from Bulgaria (i.e. Berbatov), played for Montenegro (i.e. Montenegro's Zverotic, who scored the only goal in the match," the PM said as quoted by sportal.bg.
He expressed his view that the entire management of the national football team must resign – which it did on Wednesday.
Bulgaria's national football team suffered a humiliating 0:1 defeat from Montenegro at home in Sofia in its second match from the Euro 2012 qualifications.
The only goal in the match was scored by Montenegro's Zverotic in the 35th minute. The Bulgarians had a couple of opportunities but for the most time they were utterly disorganized and their attacks fell apart easily.
The 0:1 loss at home from Montenegro comes 5 days after Bulgaria lost 4:0 from England at Wembley in London.
In a blitz interview for the Bulgarian National Television after the match with Montenegro, the coach of the Bulgarian national football team Stanimir Stoilov said he will most certainly be resigning as a result of the failure.
Thus, Bulgaria has no points after its first two matches in the Euro 2012 qualifications, and, as Stoilov himself pointed out, the team's chances to make it to the next European championship have declined substantially.
