EU to Allocate Frozen Russian Assets to Aid Ukraine
The EU has made a significant decision to allocate profits from its frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine's self-defense and recovery efforts amidst ongoing Russian aggression
The Foreign Ministries of Bulgaria and Ukraine have signed a “Plan for Consultations” for 2010-2011.
The document was singed by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria, Marin Raykov, and Ukraine – Konstantin Eliseev.
It provides for the development of the contacts and cooperation between the various structural units of the two institutions. The signing was preceded by the first political consultations between Bulgaria and Ukraine since 2006 focusing on the regional political situation and energy security issues.
“Based on our talks we determined directions for cooperation between our countries in the short run,” said the Ukrainian diplomat pointing out that the Plan was the first contact of the Bulgarian government with the Ukrainian state after the presidential elections in February won by Viktor Yanukovich.
