Home Sweet Home: The Reality of Housing in Bulgaria Revealed
New data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) sheds light on the housing landscape in Bulgaria, painting a picture of the majority of Bulgarians residing in older homes.
A total of 1,8 million Bulgarians have taken trips in the country and abroad during the third quarter of 2009.
The data was released Friday by the National Statistics Institute (NSI).
Compared with the same period of 2008 the total number of individuals above the age of 15, who have made trips, is up by 5%. The increase is mostly attributed to local travel, which is up 11%. In the meantime, the number of those, who have traveled abroad is down by nearly 30%.
From those who took trips outside the country 61% went on vacation while from those who traveled locally over 64% were tourists.
