As May approaches, Bulgarians eagerly anticipate a month filled with opportunities for rest and relaxation, thanks to a strategic alignment of holidays and weekends
37% of Bulgarians will not be able to take a holiday this year over the global financial crisis, research company Gallup International has discovered.
In a survey carried out recently, Gallup, cited by bTV, stated that their survey showed that as well as the 37% who will not be taking a holiday in 2009, 16% of Bulgarians will take a shorter holiday than usual, again because of the financial crisis.
52% of the people surveyed stated that a lot of Bulgarians will not be able to take holidays this year, with 17% stating that people will look for the cheaper destinations.
24% of the people surveyed said that they would be taking the same amount of time off and spending as much as normal on their 2009 holidays.
