Maria Laura Algora from Argentina was chosen as Miss Festival 2009 at the international Veliko Tarnovo Folk Fest.
The 12th edition of the Festival was launched Saturday evening in Bulgaria's ancient capital Veliko Tarnovo with a parade on the city's streets.
Antiope Presilia from the Martinique was selected as first-runner up while Daniela Ruby de Hesus from Mexico ended second.
Laura Pierra Gigia from Brazil, receive the "most beautiful" costume prize.

The jury was chaired by the Festival's President, Emil Pavlov.
The program continues Sunday evening with concerts of groups from Armenia, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt and the Martinique.
