The Christian-Social Union of Bavaria has reaffirmed its support Friday for winner of Bulgaria's recent general elections, the GERB party of PM-to-be Boyko Borisov.

Borisov, who is the leader of GERB, attended Friday the congress of the CSU in the German city of Nuremberg. He was accompanied by the GERB Chair and Interior Minister nominee, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, and MEP Rumiana Jeleva, who is likely to be Bulgaria's new Foreign Minister.

Earlier on Friday, the GERB delegation met with the leadership of the Hans Seidel Foundation - the Chair, Dr. Hans Zehetmair, and Christian Hegemer, head of the Institute for International Relations and Cooperation, who pointed out that GERB had the historic responsibility to finally guarantee Bulgaria's European development and prosperity.

A meeting of Boyko Borisov with the Bavarian Minister-President and CSU Chair, Horst Seehofer, is scheduled for Friday night.
