CSKA Hooligans Stir Mass Fight in Major Sofia Mall
Fans of football team CSKA Sofia have attacked customers at the Sofia City Center shopping center in the Bulgarian capital Sunday.
Wold renowned French architect, Dominique Perrault, has been selected to design the Sofia City Center.
The news was announced by architect Mityo Videlov, advisor the Bulgaria's Minister for Regional Development, cited by Darik radio.
The city center will be built in the next ten years and will house different State institutions. The center will be located along the main Sofia boulevard "Tsarigradsko Shosse".
Perrault was selected among the six companies, finalists in the contest, all of them world architectural design leaders.
Two Bulgarian firms also participated in the final stages of the contest.
The contract with Perrault is going to be signed in the next two months and the French architect will then select his Bulgarian partners.
The financing of the project, however, is still ambiguous and, according to Videlov, will include external financing, financing from individuals and public-private partnerships.
