Furnishing Company Manager Splashed with Acid in Sofia

The manager of a furnishing company was splashed with acid by unknown attackers at Sofia's Bulgaria Boulevard on Monday afternoon, police reported.

The criminals have probably aimed at robbing the victim, Petya Minkova, 33, as her hand bag was missing, the authorities informed.

The woman was rushed to Pirogov Emergency Institute. She suffered 10% burns, doctors said.

Darik Radio informed the firm Minkova heads is currently in the process of dividing and a series of scandals between the shareholders have recently flared up.

The police is still searching for the attackers.
