Fitch Lowers Bulgaria, Romania's Credit Ratings

The international credit ratings agency Fitch lowers Monday the credit rating of Bulgaria and Romania, BGNES reported.

Bulgaria's rating is decreased from BBB to BBB-, whereas Romania's is down by two levels - from BBB to BB+. This places Bulgaria's northern neighbor in the list of countries where it is not beneficial to invest at the moment.

Fitch also lowered the credit rankings of two other Eastern European states - Hungary's was decreased from BBB+ to BBB, whereas Kazakhstan's is down to BBB- from BBB.
