Obama received 59,4% of the votes vs. 40,6% for his Republican opponent John McCain winning with a lead of almost 20%.
Obama won by an even wider margin in the nearby town of Banya - there he got 65,7% of the votes vs. only 34,3% for McCain.
A total of 394 votes were cast in Karlovo, and 140 votes were cast in the town of Banya, announced the Chair of the Karlovo Town Council Toshko Stoev, who was headed McCain's headquarters in Karlovo Municipality.
