Kardam's Medical State Remains Unchanged

Bulgarian Prince Kardam, the eldest son of Simeon Saxe-Koburg, remains in the intensive care unit of the Madrid hospital "October 12th" with injuries sustained during a serious car accident near Madrid last Friday.

Kardam is still in a coma and his condition, which is listed as critical but stable, has remained unchanged during the last 24 hours.

Kardam suffers a serious head trauma and numerous fractures on both arms.

Kardam's wife, who has been in the car with him during the accident, also remains hospitalized. She is in a different hospital in Madrid with lesser injuries.

Kardam's youngest brother Kiril, his sister Kalina and Simeon Saxe-Coburg remain in Madrid and have visited the family again Tuesday, according to the Spanish press.
