The electric power price is going up by 14,098% beginning July 1, while the heating price id going up by 12,92% and gas price - by 5,16%, according to the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation final decision announced Thursday.

Regarding the three-month electric supply billing cycle of the CEZ company, the Commission decided that it would be continued until October, 2008 to give the company and the Commission time to further test it and to find out if it is feasible.

The Commission's Chair Konstantin Shushulov explained that CEZ had made some mistakes when introducing the three-month bulling cycle such as not enough information for consumers, especially domestic ones and mistakes in the invoices' calculations.

For rural areas with low population, the Commission proposes the introduction of electric meters where payments could be made in advance by vouchers similar to the cell phone ones - with a predetermined amount and a code, which will allow consumers to use them to receive electric power supply.
