Indonesia also participates each year in the annual folk festival in the National Palace of Culture. In 2003, the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture presented a photo exhibition called "Bali - Stairs to Heaven".

Since 2004, Bulgaria has participated in the Djakarta Festival of European Films. Several Bulgarian folklore ensembles have toured Indonesia.
