Vehicles, parked on sidewalks in Sofia will be shot by the Capital Inspectorate employees and the owners are to pay a BGN 30 fine for violating the rules, the body's head Veska Georgieva announced Monday.
The pictures, taken by digital cameras, will be sent to Traffic Police offices.
"The aim is to make the streets in Sofia passable without violating the rights of the citizens," Georgieva explained.
"We had to buy a great number of cameras and to form teams but now we are ready to launch the observing activities," she added.
The inspectors are already allowed to impose fines on citizens, who throw their cigarette ends in the streets.
