Policeman Gets Suspended Sentence for Raping Under-age Girl in Bulgaria

Regional Military Court in Bulgaria's town of Sliven gave Tuesday a two year and ten months suspended sentence to the policeman Rumen Rashev over fornicating and raping an under-age girl.

The officer has also got five years to serve in probation.

The crimes were committed in July 2007 when the policeman was on a business trip in the seaside resort of Sunny Beach.

He threatened the victim and forced her to have sex with him.
