Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant Kozloduy announced it expects to exceed by 6.3% the projected target for electricity output for 2007.
Two weeks before the end of the year, the nuclear power plant said it has already produced 13 774 520 MWh of electricity, meeting the target set in its annual plan.
By the end of the year the company is forecast to produce 14 643 870 MWh, overshooting the plan by 6.3%.
At the end of last year, hours before joining the European Union, the country shut down reactors number 3 and 4 at Kozloduy nuclear power station to meet the safety requirements of the European block.
Units 5&6 remain online and working, while units 1&2, the oldest pair, were shut down in 2003.
