Right-wing candidate for Sofia mayor Martin Zaimov promised he would provide for Wi-Fi Internet connection throughout the city within a month if he gets elected.

Zaimov participated in a meeting of the IT business on Thursday.

There are around 400,000 Internet users in Sofia, according to the latest statistics.

"Within months there could be at least 100 places in Sofia with Wi-Fi Internet connection," Zaimov said.

Zaimov was nominated to join the mayoral race by Bulgaria's top two rightist parties the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) and the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB).
