Hollywood star Halle Berry confirmed she and her partner Gabriel Aubry are expecting their first child.
The actress, who is 41-year-old, said she was three months pregnant.
"I've waited a long time for this moment in my life," she said.
Berry is categorical she will not marry the baby's father model Aubry after her two previous marriages - to baseball player David Justice and R&B singer Eric Bent - ended in divorce.
"I've come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper," the Oscar winner explained.
