Woman without Driving Licence Hits 4 Pedestrians in Bulgaria

A 24-year-old woman, who sat behind the wheel without having a driving licence, hit four pedestrians, three children among them in Bulgaria's town of Karlovo on Wednesday.

After injuring the children, aged 5, 8 and 16, as well as an elderly woman, the culprit run away together with her husband, who took the driver's place immediately after the accident.

The people hurt have been immediately rushed to hospital. One of the girls suffered serious head and abdominal injuries. The other two children and the woman will undergo a course of home treatment.

Relatives of the victims managed to find the car but the family was not in. Later they were seized in a house located in a nearby village.

The case is still under investigation.
