Julia Jurevich, a 17-year-old beauty from the town of Kozloduy, was crowned Miss Bulgaria 2007 at a ceremony in Plovdiv.

The second place in the competition was taken by 18-year-old Paulina Racheva from the Danube town of Russe.

20-year-old Gergana Kochanova from the capital city of Sofia is to represent Bulgaria at Miss Universe competition, the hanging-committee decided.

Many other sponsors' awards were also handed to the other participants.

The competition's anchors were Miss Bulgaria 2001 Tanya Karabelova, the famous actress Silvya Lulcheva and the pop duo Mangasaryan Brothers.

For the first time the event united the beauty and the sport, as instead of music performances there were sport gymnastics show. The idea was launched by the director Sylvester Lolov.
