Consumers Sue Bulgaria's Telecom
Business | March 5, 2007, Monday // 00:00
An association of the telecom and Internet services consumers has lodged a BGN 385 M claim against the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company and the regulating body, Communications Regulation Commission (CRC).
The action was taken because of the high subscription fees for using home phones services.
More than 40% of the telecom's profit for 2006 were generated by subscription fees, which, the protestors say, is a precedent in Europe.
