Bulgarian Murders Lover, Sentenced to 7,6 Years Behind Bars

23-year-old Bulgarian was sentenced by the Regional Court of the town of Shumen to 7,6 years in jail for murdering her lover on October 1 last year. Margarita Georgieva from the town of Smyiadovo has previously confessed that she stabbed to death in his stomach Vesko Marinov, 37. He died from a partial cut of the abdominal aorta. The convicted woman suffers from a mild form of mental retardation. However, she was fully aware of what she was doing at the time of the murder, the prosecutor proved. Georgieva has to pay also the expenses on the trial, set at BGN 314.
