Nationalist runner Volen Siderov, who will face incumbent president Georgi Parvanov in a run-off on Sunday, will have something other than elections on his mind in the so-called contemplation day.

The nationalist Ataka (Attack) leader will marry his longtime girlfriend Kapka Georgieva, early morning on Saturday, when the nation is supposed to be pondering its choice of president, Standart daily reports.

Some believe that by tying the knot Siderov has found an interesting way to stay in the news even in the day dedicated to contemplation, when media is not supposed to give voters a day to think, without mentioning the candidates and their campaigns.

Georgieva has already been married once to Kin Stoyanov, the son of famed Bulgarian dissident, poet and satirist Radoy Ralin. They have a son - Dimitar Stoyanov, who took his stepdad Siderov's agenda at heart and is Ataka's deputy chairman. Stoyanov recently sparked a racist scandal at the European Parliament, where the party sent him as an observer, insulting Hungarian Livia Jaroka, the first MEP of Romany origin.
