GREEK INTRALOT ACQUIRED 49% OF BULGARIA'S EUROFOOTBALL

Greek Intralot, part of Intracom group, acquired a 49% stake in Bulgarian soccer bookmaker Eurofootball, under an agreement for strategic partnership signed with Eurofootball February 18. Planned investments total BGN 300 M. The team that founded Eurofootball keeps the majority shareholding, the trademark rights and control over the management structure. Under the contract, Eurofootball's commercial activities will be diversified and expanded. Touch-screen technology will be introduced over the next six months at all bookmaking centers to allow real-time betting. New games and products will also be unveiled. Intracom President Socrates Kokkalis expressed the hope that the partnership will continue on projects outside the country. Eurofootball has been Bulgaria’s leading soccer bookmaker for the last eight years. Earlier in the day Intracom President Socrates Kokkalis had an acquaintance meeting with the Harvard Club Board. The meeting was attended by Greek Ambassador to Bulgaria Michalis Christidis, US Ambassador to Bulgaria Richard Miles, Luise Druke, UN Refugee Agency UNHCR representative, Sweden's Ambassador Sten Ask and American University in Bulgaria President Julia Watkins.
