Bulgarian Spiderman Opens Photography Exhibition

Bulgarian-born Canadian fan of extreme sensations Ivan Kristoff, largely known as Spiderman, will present his aerial photos of paragliding in Bulgaria.
"Through the Eye of the Spider" will open in Bulgaria's second city of Plovdiv on Tuesday, showing for the first time a selection of Kristoff's best aerial and remote access photos.
"Living on the edge is what extreme sport's photographers do for a living," Kristoff said for SNA. "The world of paragliding is a world at the forefront of extreme endeavours and challenges for the airborne photographer."
Bulgaria's Spiderman explains how he took some of the photos during an awkward landing with a paraglider on the highway near Sofia's Boyana Residence. "The sudden change of wind direction, and frankly my limited flying experience, forced me to make an emergency landing", he says. "It was quite obvious that I was about to experience the thrill of a lifetime and the beginning of a very painful landing, but I could not resist taking pictures."
Many of the photos probably don't have such thrilling stories behind them but will prove a feast to the appreciative eye nevertheless.
