Sofia's mayor explored the experience of a Danish garbage procession facility in Orhus.
Boyko Borisov is on a one-day visit to Denmark as part of the official delegation of President Georgi Parvanov.
Denmark is also a good example of managing garbage issues in an environmentally safe way, Sofia municipality's press office noted.
President Georgi Parvanov has opened a page in the history of bilateral relations, being the first Bulgarian head of state to visit the Scandinavian kingdom.
Responding to the invitation of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, the President met with the Danish royal couple, Danish Parliament Speaker Christian Mejdahl, the leaderships of parliamentary parties and also with Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Special attention has been attributed to this state visit, as Danish state television aired live the official dinner Danish Queen hosts for the Bulgarian President.
Georgi Parvanov and his sumptuous delegation - including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin, Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski, Culture Minister Stefan Danailov - are expected to convince Danish government officials in the strong commitment of Bulgaria on the path to EU and its readiness to be a member of the bloc.
Denmark is among the EU states with pending ratification of Bulgaria and Romania's Accession Treaty. Reports signal the completion of procedure will depend on the EC report in May.
