Bulgarian Telco Launches Online Chess Tournament

Bulgaria's Telecommunication Company (BTC) has launched the first ADSL online chess tournament in the country on Friday.
The initiative joins the efforts of BTC and the Bulgarian Chess Federation to help the game's development and its popularization among young people. The goal is to urge youngsters to practice the sport as an extracurricular activity.
Students from Sofia's First English Language High-School will participate in the two-day-long tournament. The winners will be announced December 18.
