World | September 25, 2005, Sunday // 00:00

Four militiamen loyal to Iraq's radical Shia cleric, Moqtada Sadr, have been killed in clashes with US forces in Baghdad overnight. It is the first such fighting since a rebellion by supporters of the cleric ended more than a year ago. Meanwhile, at least nine people were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in eastern Baghdad. Five of the dead were reported to be police commandos. At the same time another five people were killed after a suicide attacker blew himself up in a busy marketplace in the town of Hilla.
