An opposition agriculture party called on the prime minister to dismiss his ministers as Parliament debated the motion of non-confidence against Saxe-Coburg, tabled by left- and right-wing opposition parliamentary parties and independent MPs over "the government's inability to rule Bulgaria".
The government's only merit is bringing different parties together despite their ideological differences, said Anastasia Mozer, leader of the Agriculture party BZNS-People's Union.
In her words the non-confidence motion is not an electioneering trick but a sign of awakening.
Bulgaria could only win if the government does not survive its sixth non-confidence vote, she added.
Parliament saw the parties defend the pros and cons of a non-confidence motion against the government for more than eight hours. The left and right-wing opposition enumerated what they saw as the incumbents' failure, while the ruling coalition stressed the unlikely unity of "arch enemies".
