Bulgaria's police started Monday a manhunt for Nick Stein, the German-descended television host who triggered a racial discrimination scandal in 2003.
This time Stein is suspected of committing numerous frauds in Bulgaria.
The German has aroused a load of controversy with his television appearances in the country. In November 2003, he sparkled a media storm with a harsh critical remark to a member of ethnic-Turks dominated Movement for Rights and Freedom (MRF). Stein criticized the man for using his mother language during a press conference.
The operator of Stein's then broadcaster was temporarily stripped of license because of Stein's statement.
