More EU Tourists Coming to Bulgaria

The number of tourists from the European Union (EU) coming to Bulgaria went up by 48,2% over the first four months of the year.

A total of 868, 791 foreign tourists have visited Bulgaria during that period, data from the World Tourism Organization shows.

The Greek tourists coming to Bulgaria have gone up by 50,66% reaching a number of 221, 321. Bulgaria is turning into a favourite destination for the Macedonian, British, Serbian and German tourists.

Tourism revenues over the first two months of 2004 have also marked an upward going tendency with an increase of 30,3%.
