Bulgaria's government should work out the main priorities for the three forms of health tourism- spa, wellness, and illness.

Representatives of 7 different tourism organizations signed a memorandum insisting for urgent measures in that field.

More and more people aged over 48 find health tourism very useful, statistics shows. There are forecasts saying that by the end of 2010 the number of tourists using that kind of tourism services will go up by 75%.

Croatia, Poland and the Czech Republic are among the preferred health tourism destinations. Bulgaria, however, has great chances of becoming a favorite health tourism destination.

Bulgaria's tourism business has to meet the new world requirements in that sector, all tourism organizations that signed the memorandum agreed. Still, the legal base in the country has to be improved.
