Earlier this year Hristov stepped on the Lenin Peak. He climbed also in the French Alpes.

Together with Nikola Levakov, Hristo has laid down the first Bulgarian route in the Himalayas named "Between the sun and shadow."

Hristo Hristov was part of the second group on the assault of Everest without oxugen sets, together with Nikolay Petkov and Doychin Vassilev. On May 20 they reported Hristo lagged behind, but later saw him some 50 m beneath the top climbing upwards.

On May 18, amid worsening weather conditions, Petko Totev was the first member of the Bulgarian expedition to reach the peak with Sherpa Tendi.

Hristo Hristov was the youngest in the 10-member expedition, which headed for Mount Everest in commemoration of its first conquer 20 years ago.

He is the 10-th Bulgarian to step on the "top of the world."

The first Bulgarian to conquer the Mount Everest is Hristo Prodanov who disappeared on his way back from the peak twenty years ago.
