Bulgarian sky gazers are getting ready for the full lunar eclipse starting Tuesday evening.

The Earth will pass between the Sun and the Moon, blocking the Sun's light, at 11:30 p.m.. The eclipse ends about an hour after midnight.

Lunar eclipses require no equipment to view, and are perfect events for beginners in astronomy to observe.

They are not as spectacular as Solar eclipses, when day turns to night. However, they last for much longer, and can be seen from any part of the Earth's surface where the Moon is above the horizon.
