The ancient city of Troy is going to revive its glory on movie screen as the release of Warner Bros blockbuster is expected in May.

With an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Peter O'Toole and Sean Bean, Hollywood has made a version of Homer's Illiad. Hundreds of Bulgarians have filled in the crew cast for the battle scenes.

Turkey hopes that the movie, retelling about a war fought 3,500 years ago, will inspire a new invasion - of tourists rather than ironclad warriors.

The town of Canakkale, on the shores of the northern Aegean, is the nearest city to the site of ancient Troy. Its people are already bracing up for the premier of the movie in May.
