Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Solomon Passy left today for the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

Minister Passy will attend an education forum that will be held in Tashkent.

In his capacity of Chairman-in-office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Passy will promote democracy in five Asian countries. Minister Passy is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, The Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan and Tadjikistan.

Solomon Passy will also pay a visit to Afghanistan to meet some of the local leaders and discuss the execution of democratic elections in the country.
