Two UNESCO experts visited Thursday the Thracian tomb complex in the roundabouts of Kazanlak.

ICCROM's chief Nicholas Price and the mural expert Werner Schmidt came to Bulgaria to prepare their report for UNESCO to include the freshly found Thracian tomb at Alexandrovo in its list of world historical heritage.

This is the first visit of UNESCO officials in Bulgaria since 1996.

The other uniquely mural-preserved Thracian tomb at Kazanlak, dated back to 3 century B.C., is already protected by the UN.
