20% of Sofia's Buildings Down in Case of Strong Earthquake

A possible strong earthquake to hit near Bulgarian capital Sofia will destroy 20 percent of the buildings and cause many casualties according to the Bulgarian Geophysical Institute. The estimates were made for a possible tremor measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale. According to researchers, many buildings in Sofia are constructed with no attention to security criteria.
