Three Women Killed in Fatal Road Accident in Silistra Region
A tragic road accident in Bulgaria has claimed the lives of three women in the Silistra region
A 4-year-old girl died after an accident in Pleven region, the Ministry of the Interior reports. The accident happened around 21:35 last night on a third-class road after the village of Opanec in the direction of the town of Dolna Mitropolia.
The 30-year-old driver of the car in which the child was traveling lost control, the car left the roadway and hit a roadside tree.
The passengers were injured - a 4-year-old and a 21-year-old, with head and brain injuries. They were admitted to a hospital for treatment. The girl later died.
The driver has bruises and scrapes, which are not life-threatening.
The breathalyzer showed a blood alcohol concentration of over 1.2. The drug test was negative.
The driver is detained for up to 24 hours.
An inspection was carried out at the scene of the accident. Assistance was provided by a team of the Regional Office "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population (ROFSPP) - Dolna Mitropolia. A pre-trial proceeding has been established, on which the work continues. Regional Proseuction – Pleven has been notified.
