Bulgaria: Covid-19 in Bulgaria: 1,850 Newly Infected, 81 Fatalities

In the past 24 hours, 1,850 new carriers of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been registered in the country, data from the single information portal show.

Yesterday, 17,987 diagnostic tests were made - 10,295 PCR and 7,692 antigen. Positive are 10% of the tests carried out.

The active cases were 52,509.

There was a significant decrease in the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19. As of April 28, there were 7,480. In intensive care units, 714 patients are treated.

During the day 16,749 doses of vaccines were given. The total number of people inoculated with one dose was 750,899 and with a second dose there now 177,975 vaccinated.

In the past 24 hours, the disease has claimed the lives of 81 people, 3,375 have recovered.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, there have been 16,182 deaths in Bulgaria, and 332,418 people have been cured.

The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection was 401,109, of which 13,126 were medics.

The most are the newly registered in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora.
