Persons transiting through Serbia from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and northern Macedonia no longer need to present a negative PCR test if their passage through Serbia does not exceed 12 hours, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said, quoted by BNR.

Last night, the Serbian authorities published a new decision on the conditions for entry and transit through Serbia, referring to those arriving from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Northern Macedonia, BNR clarifies.

"According to the new regulations of August 20, the transit of persons arriving from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia or Northern Macedonia, which does not exceed 12 hours, is allowed without the mandatory presentation of a negative PCR test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. "Persons entering Serbia from the four countries are also excluded from the obligation to submit a negative PCR test if they have transited through their territory for no more than 12 hours," the ministry said in a statement.

Excluded from the requirement are also foreign nationals with a permanent address or temporary residence document in Serbia, crews of transit road carriers, cross-border workers, crews and passengers of aircraft transiting through Serbian airports, staff of river vessels accredited in Serbia's diplomatic staff, employees of international organizations and others.
