The Islamic State terrorist group may have a capital of about 3 billion euros. Part of this money is invested in a legitimate business through outsiders. This was announced by the French radio "Europe 1" on the eve of the French-led conference on counterterrorism financing.

The forum opens today in Paris and will continue for another day. The money has been accumulated for three years from charges levied by occupied territories and illegal oil trade in northern Iraq and Syria, according to data from the security services quoting the radio.

In particular, in areas controlled by the terrorists, up to 40% of all Iraqi crop production and about 80% of Syrian cotton were produced. Terrorists have also unlawfully seized the property of their adversaries, including Christians, Shiites, and yazidis.

The Monde newspaper reports that for these three years part of the funds through crowds are invested in an absolutely legitimate business such as a fish farms in Iraq. Terrorists have also created a network of remittances through mediators in Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries.
