Low-flying fighter jets of Serbia were seen on Wednesday roaring over Albanian inhabited areas of the Presheva Valley, near the border with Kosovo, Gazeta Express reported.
Express has reported that Serbia’s planes have performed a series of flights today over Presheva, causing concerns among local Albanian population who have sent to Gazeta Express videos and pictures of the fighter jets. Despite seeing flying near Kosovo border it remains unknown whether Serbia’s fighter jets have violated Kosovo’s air space which is protected by NATO peacekeeping mission – KFOR.
The parade of fighter jets today came amidst tensions created between Kosovo and Serbia after on Monday Kosovo Police have arrested and deported Director of Serbia’s Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, in Mitrovica North, for illegally entering Kosovo territory. After the incident Belgrade media close to Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic reported that Serbia is ready to send its army in Kosovo.
