Deadly Makala Prison Break: 129 Killed, 59 Injured in DRC Congo
An escape attempt at Makala Central Prison in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, resulted in at least 129 deaths and 59 injuries
At least six people were killed and 20 were injured in clashes in a Bolivian prison.
The turmoil began when hundreds of policemen arrived there and tried to search the building. However, some prisoners attacked the police.
Authorities note that firearms, alcohol distillers as well as large amounts of cocaine and marijuana were found in the jail.
In 2013, 34 people died in unrest in the same prison.
