Bulgarian PR expert and Novinite founder Maxim Behar has called on businesses in Bulgaria to launch together a "Donate 1000 for Hitrino" campaign, in the aftermath of an incident that left seven people dead and several dozen injured.

Behar, born in the town of Shumen which is minutes away from Hitrino, has made the pledge on Facebook.

A honorary citizen of Shumen himself, he has also donated BGN 1000 to the families of victims.

"Just had a call from Dr. Hristo Grigorov, the Bulgarian Red Cross President, whio thanked me and assured me that MOnday morning a special bank account will be announced so anyone can donate," he has said.

"I am addressing all business entities in Bulgaria and abroad - let's start a campaign "DONATE 1000 FOR HITRINO". NOW!

Share and participate! ONLY the business can help fast and effective. Hitrino needs us today, not tomorrow!"
