Bulgaria's Vice President-Elect Pledges to Work with Civil Society at Home and Abroad

Bulgarian Vice President-Elect Iliana Iotova has said work with civic organizations will be among her priorities when she takes up office in January.
She has also voiced intentions to finish her work at the EU Parliament, where she is the deputy head of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee, before assuming her duties.
Iotova, a former MEP was Rumen Radev's running mate as the latter won the presidential runoff vote held on Sunday.
"No Bulgarian institution, in my opinion, works hard enough with non-governmental organizations, with civic groups," she has told the Bulgarian National Radio.
"My work at the European Parliament has taught me that if one wants to do their job well, one needs such an expertise," she has added.
