Last-minute changes to election organization and ignorance of voters in the region are being observed in Karzhali, Southern Bulgaria, a TV report shows on Sunday, during the presidential runoff.

Some of those who went to the polls are heard saying they do not know what the election is about, but are aware of the square they have to tick on the ballot.

"I took my decision and I don't know," one says, without elaborating.

"We don't know who the President [sic!] is," another replies, while a third one says she has no idea what she voted for.

"They know what sign to vote with, they tick their number and leave," a local electoral official says.

In addition, on Saturday, one of the parties withdrew all representatives in the 459 election commissions throughout Kardzhali, the BNT's correspondent in the region reports.

No mention is made of the party's name, but it was ethnic Turk-dominated DPS party that took the step last week in the same region, where a vast share of voters are Bulgarian Turks.
