Bulgaria: New Greek Government Sworn In BGNES

The new Greek government has been sworn in after a slight re-shuffle intended to facilitate the passing of financial reforms considered necessary but unpopular.

“We have the chance of a new beginning, to gain the necessary push – necessary in order to manage the last few metres of the marathon,” stated Greek PM Alexis Tsipras, reported AFP, cited by Focus agency.

The restructuring of the government, which happened on November 4, left most of the government’s members in place. Local sources, however, specify that the purpose of the re-shuffle is to demonstrate Athens’ intentions of moving forward with honouring its obligations linked to the granting of financial bail-out packages for the country by European creditors.
