Bulgaria: Bulgaria's Borisov, Serbian PM Vucic Discuss Gas Interconnector BGNES

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met his Serbian counter-part Aleksandar Vu?i? within the framework of the annual meeting of government leaders of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe and China held in Riga.

The conversation focused on energy and joint infrastructure projects.

Borisov and Vu?i? discussed the signing of a Memorandum on Understanding, approved by the Council of Ministers, on the project for the construction of an intersystem gas link Bulgaria-Serbia.

Borisov underlined that the construction of the interconnector is ongoing and this project should be finalised soon.

“The interconnector is of strategic importance for the relations between Serbia and Bulgaria since energy is a key topic for both countries,” noted Borisov.
